Hopes and Dreams Plaques
November 16, 2018
On a trip to Japan some years ago, RBCS founder Laurada Byers saw a “wishing wall” outside a Shinto Temple. Individuals were invited (for a fee to support the Temple) to write their wish on a wooden plaque and hang it on the wall for the world to see. This inspired her to create the Wall of Hopes and Dreams at School. Years after the School was well under way, Mrs. Byers returned to Japan and took the wooden plaques created by 4-year-old students to Kyoto and placed them on the “wishing wall” there.
