Science & Social Studies
The Science and Social Studies programs at Russell Byers Charter School are rooted in the Pennsylvania State Standards. All grades engage in one science and one social studies expedition each year as well as multiple shorter investigations in each subject. The content topics identified on the topic summary map become the foundation for long-term expeditions and shorter in-depth studies throughout the year.
RBCS Philosophy of Teaching Science
At Russell Byers students will be able to research and acquire scientific and technological knowledge by using the scientific method to investigate the natural world and solve problems.
