Job Position: Computer Technology/Digital Media Teacher

Job Description:
Teachers are required to arrive at school by 7:40AM and remain until 3:45 PM on regular school days.
Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of the state and school.
Lectures, demonstrates and uses audiovisual teaching aids to present subject matter to class.
Prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results.
Assigns lessons, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations.
Teaches rules of conduct
Maintains order in the classroom and on the playground.
Counsels students when adjustments and academic problems arise.
Discusses students’ academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents.
Keeps attendance and grade records as required by school.
Coordinates class field trips.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, along with appropriate state certification.
Mathematical Skills:  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
